Feature Description:
I propose the implementation of a tool for locating and extracting direct quotes from PDF documents with the following functionalities:
Identification of Relevant Passages for Quoting:
The feature would be capable of automatically identifying text passages that are potentially relevant for use as direct quotes. This would include segments that explain important concepts, present research results, or contain significant conclusions. The tool would use natural language processing (NLP) algorithms to recognize these patterns and suggest passages that could be useful in academic work.
Exact Page Reference:
Upon extracting the quote, the tool would automatically associate the exact page reference from which the passage was taken. This ensures proper attribution of the quote according to academic standards.
Option to Format Quotes in Various Citation Styles:
The feature should allow users to select the desired citation style (APA, Chicago, MLA, etc.), automatically applying the appropriate formatting to the extracted quote. For instance, selecting APA would present the quote with the correct formatting and reference (author, year, page).
Integration with Other Articles and Academic Work:
After extraction and formatting, the quote would be ready to be copied and directly inserted into other documents. This integration can be optimized by enabling the export of the formatted quote directly to word processors like Microsoft Word, Google Docs, or reference management systems such as Mendeley or Zotero.
User-Friendly Interface:
The feature should be accessible directly from the Mindgrasp PDF reading interface, with a button or menu option that allows users to activate the quote extraction tool.
Benefits:
Time-Saving: Automates the process of identifying, extracting, and formatting quotes, which is typically time-consuming.
Accuracy: Ensures that quotes are always accompanied by the correct page reference, minimizing errors.
Versatility: Adapting to different citation styles makes the tool useful across various disciplines and academic contexts.
Convenience: By making the quote ready for use in other documents, it optimizes the workflow for those writing articles or theses.

I propose the implementation of a new feature in Mindgrasp that allows for the visual indication of the exact passages in a PDF from which answers or information have been extracted. This feature can be structured as follows:
Automatic Highlighting of Relevant Passages:
When a user requests an answer or summary from a PDF document, Mindgrasp will automatically highlight the exact passages in the document where the information was obtained. This allows the user to quickly verify the source of the information, facilitating the fact-checking process.
